2016 Cabernet and 2016 Montaire Gift Set
For the casual but curious Cabernet drinker or maybe someone who holds the year 2016 close to their heart, we suggest our duo of newly released 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2016 Montaire Cabernet Sauvignon. Think of this two-pack as a sort of mini horizontal. While both wines are Cabernet, they’re grown in separate blocks on our estate property, and you can taste the different personalities within this vintage. The newest release of our Cabernet Sauvignon is quite the vixen. The color alone is striking””an inky shade of garnet that verges on black velvet. The entry is plush but meanders into an intensely layered mid-palate of blackberry, boysenberry, and pomegranate. It’s hard to imagine a color more intense than the 2016 Montaire’s””this wine is black velvet at midnight! The berries in this wine have dart-like flavors of bing cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, and fine notes of gooseberry. Where our 2016 Cab likes a classic steak, Montaire wants Steak au Poivre. These are fantastic Cabernets that will age for decades to come but are also very fun to drink side by side now.
2014 Dedication and Iteration XVI Gift Pack
